Summer Theatre Academy 2009

Is your child the class clown or drama queen?  Do they have a yearning to sing, dance or tell the world a story?  Then bring them to Canyon Moon!

Canyon Moon Theatre Company has classes to help your children improve their confidence level, fulfill a longstanding dream or just enjoy their summer.  Taught by professional theatre people, with limited class sizes, CMT provides a high-quality experience that mixes fun and excitement with learning.

Kids Play

Canyon Moon is opening its trunk of costumes and props for this class!  Kids Play is designed for children ages 7 and 8.  Students will act, sing, and create stories on the spot.  The main goal is to have fun, and let each child bring his or her special gifts to the class.  The class will run June 29 through July 3, Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. The cost of Kids Play is $49.50 for the week. Class size is limited.

Acting for Teens

Acting for Teens is a two-week course for students ages 11 through 16. The class begins with improvisation work designed to build self-confidence and reestablish a young person’s unique creative impulses.  It will then broaden into an exploration of voice, stage movement and acting technique. The class will be taught by master teacher Mary Guaraldi.  Classes run from July 13 to July 24, Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM with a final showcase on July 24 at noon.  The tuition for Acting for Teens is $199.00. Class size is limited to 12 students. Some out of class work will be assigned.

    Students must be present at all classes unless they have the permission of the instructor to miss specified dates.  The cost of all classes includes a $25.00 non-refundable registration fee. Tuition must be paid prior to the first class.
